With the exception of one, all the following postal and main competitions are open to current FACE members only.
There will be challenges (as opposed to competitions) and other painting related fun & games over the weekend and these are open to everyone, including the Sunday when non members are able to attend, but Saturday competitions are for FACE members only.
All postal competitions must be ORIGINAL, UNPUBLISHED designs.
ORIGINAL meaning the design as well as the photo, so no copies of another painters work.
UNPUBLISHED means not seen anywhere before including forums, eMags or a website.
If photographs of an entry appear before the official release, the entry will be VOID.
In some circumstances, permission may be given to publish after judging but before the photos are on the Face website - but please contact the Chairperson if a situation occurs which might make this necessary.
All competition entries will require a Model Release Form to be completed. No form - no entry.
Model Release FormFor all of these main competitions, a minimum of 75% of the design must be on the face. A maximum of 25% may be painted on the neck, head or ears if you wish.
These entries are for a FACE painting competition so it’s important that the majority of the design is on the face.
Photographs
For the Postal competitions, you may enter up to two photographs of each design if you wish.
All photographs sent by post must be 5.5’’x 7.5’’ and we advise they are sent with a card protection to limit any damage. If you are sending your photographs digitally, they must each be between 1 MB & 2 MB in order for them to be of sufficient quality for reproduction.
If two photographs are being entered, please make sure that each photograph complies with the sizes mentioned above, rather than try to squeeze two photos into a limited space.
Please send photos to Jayne Wilks (address at the end of the page). NO LATER than Monday, 20th of February 2012 (details at the bottom of this page).
